Do You or a Loved One Suffer from Any of These Symptoms or Conditions?
- Major Depressive Disorder/Drug-Resistant Depression
- Traumatic Brain Injury and/or Post-Concussive Syndrome
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Anxiety
- Autism
- Dementia
- Major Burnout
- Chronic Sleep Problems
- ADHD and Other Learning Disorders
- After-Effects of Stroke
- Parkinson’s Disease
- OCD
These conditions and symptoms can severely impact the quality of life for both you and your loved ones.
In many cases, patients receive medications that either don’t work or have unpleasant side effects.
Other therapies can help and should be explored when applicable. However, studies also show that brain waves are altered in patients suffering from various types of brain dysregulation. This can include depression, traumatic brain injury (TBI)/concussion, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), autism, and more.
The studies show that brain oscillations are altered compared to a brain that is free of these types of dysregulation.
MeRT CAN HELP
Dr. Thomas Geraci has brought this emerging technology to the San Jose area. MeRT, which stands for Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy, can balance dysregulation occurring in the brain.
We use a gentle magnetic field to stimulate brain function in areas that are not functioning as they should.
The technology uses a qEEG (quantitative electroencephalograph) to map dysregulation so that we can customize treatment protocol for every patient based on their unique condition.
By improving synchronization and communication in the brain, MeRT can lead to long-lasting improvement.
It is a non-invasive and non-pharmaceutical treatment for many mental health conditions along with other types of brain dysregulation.

Conditions Treated with MeRT
Major Depressive Disorder
Depression can vary in severity. For some, it can be debilitating and greatly affect their quality of life.
Depression is usually treated with medication and, in some cases, counseling. However, medication isn’t always tolerated well, and while it can help with symptoms, it doesn’t cure the disease.
Suicide is the tenth leading cause of death in the United States and is on the rise. Getting the right kind of help can be the difference between life and death.
MeRT is a non-invasive and non-pharmaceutical form of neuromodulation for depression and anxiety. Many patients have been able to get their lives back again and go off of their medication permanently.
Of all my injuries by far the worst were the ones you could not see. I had degraded to the point of not being able to leave my home because of panic attacks and severe anxiety. The feeling was overwhelming, and no mediation could numb it. I told my doctor at one point I couldn’t kill myself because I have a family with young children that I am responsible for. I was living in despair and physical pain every day without reprieve, that is until I was able to get treatment.”
Traumatic Brain Injury/Concussion
For those who have experienced a mild concussion, a full recovery is often possible just by allowing some time to pass in order to heal. But others can experience symptoms for months or even years. In some cases, a person may have an injury to the brain and not even be aware of it but can later develop symptoms.
TBI patients may need rehab for speech or other senses that are impacted, such as memory, coordination, and motor skills. It’s not uncommon for patients who’ve experienced a head injury to undergo personality changes that can affect their relationships, the ability to handle stress and control emotions, or to complete simple day-to-day activities.
MeRT treatment can help improve symptoms associated with traumatic brain injury and post-concussive syndrome and has assisted many in getting their lives back with significant improvements in symptoms.
I’m two or three months past my last treatment, and I can honestly say my brain is in a better place than it was before. The emotional highs and lows I was living with have stabilized. My cognition took off during that period, and it hasn’t slowed down since.” – Nick Hardwick, Retired NFL Center, Chargers
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Post-traumatic Stress Disorder can occur if a person has witnessed or experienced terrifying life events. This syndrome can also be triggered after going through extended periods of extreme stress.
Symptoms of PTSD can get worse over time. They can also be delayed, such as in situations such as past child abuse. It’s also possible to undergo traumatic events and have them later triggered by something else.
The National Institute of Health published a study that showed during the past year, up to 3.6% of all adults experienced some form of PTSD. Symptoms can be terrifying as the patient relives the event or has nightmares about it. The ability to function normally can be seriously impaired, and the quality of life for the victim and their loved ones can degrade significantly.
MeRT has been used to help hundreds of people experiencing PTSD. Plus, many people who experience post-traumatic stress also suffer from other mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety, which MeRT can also address.
As I write this, I just completed my sixth week of treatment. A conservative estimate is that I have had a 60 – 70% reduction of the symptoms I listed above and have a whole new lease on life. I can focus and feel good about myself. Finally, I feel confident and can laugh again. Most importantly, I can feel the love for and from my family again.” – Veteran, after undergoing MeRT therapy
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Autism Spectrum Disorder, or ASD, affects everyone differently depending on where they fall on the spectrum, what therapies they’ve been through, and many other variables.
Regardless of whether a child is high or low functioning, they can still seem to lack common sense, not be able to communicate normally, have trouble coping with everyday life events, or not be able to appropriately respond.
Autism affects how a child interprets the outside world. Some kids experience severe stress when presented with unfamiliar stimuli and are unable to appropriately express themselves in response. Social interactions can be very stressful for the child and their family.
MeRT technology uses FDA-cleared equipment to generate a gentle magnetic field to balance and stimulate brain function. This treatment can result in improved learning ability, more calmness, and better communication.
I cannot begin to describe the miracle that is MeRT therapy as well as the kindness and bedside manner of Dr. Geraci and his wonderful team.
“My 7-year old is on the spectrum and has struggled with speech and cognition. I have researched literally every treament and remedy I came across to see how I can help my son. Luckily one day, a parent on my ASD support page recommended MeRT.
“I went into it with low expectations because I didn’t want to get disappointed in case it didn’t give us gains, but boy, was I wrong. Five weeks into our treatment and my son was not only more verbal than before, but his speech was functional and was talking in long sentences. He was also very engaged instead of stimming uncontrollably and trapped in his own world. He also became very affectionate and started giving us hugs and kisses whereas before he would just stare blankly at us and would refuse physical contact.
“It has been incredibly encouraging for us. The gains that we got made the treatment worth it. Dr. Geraci is a gem. He is so wonderful and extremely patient with my son. I cannot recommend him and MeRT enough and my wish is to reach as many ASD parents as possible so they can avail of this life changing treatment for their children.” – Madeleine M.
Brain Optimization
Living in a high-stress world has become the norm. No matter what your occupation or situation is, chronic stress, health issues, and aging can all take a toll on your mind and body.
Even if you are an overall healthy individual, daily life and all of its demands can burn you out. Additionally, as you age, you may not be as sharp mentally or feel as good physically as you used to, which can affect aspects of your health.
You can experience burnout, lack of energy, decreased motivation, brain fog, slow memory recall, and so much more. It can make you feel like you’ve lost your edge.
Using this powerful technology, we have treated CEOs, executives, athletes, and many other people who feel like they need a brain “tune-up.” MeRT treatment can help restore your zest for life and make you feel like your old self again!
I underwent neural restorative therapy for two months with total symptom resolution. After, I can function again at work, and can spend much needed time with my family. I have my sense of well-being back and a clarity of thought I haven’t had in many years.”
Dementia
Symptoms of dementia can vary from person to person, and symptoms can also worsen over time. While dementia isn’t a disease in and of itself, it is a set of symptoms with various underlying causes.
Regardless of the cause, it affects thinking, memory, perceptions, and independence and can grossly disrupt daily life. As dementia worsens, full-time care is often required.
Memory loss is the most common symptom of dementia. The most common cause of dementia that progresses over time is Alzheimer’s disease. While there is no cure for Alzheimer’s, certain therapies can slow its progression.
It is important to be under the care of a physician to help determine the underlying medical issue causing dementia symptoms. Some conditions can be reversible, such as those caused by infections, autoimmune conditions, malabsorption of some nutrients, adverse reactions to medications, and more.
Progressive dementia can be caused by Alzheimer’s Disease, Vascular issues, Lewy Body Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, and more.
MeRT may help with some forms of dementia. It’s important to receive clearance from your physician before undergoing this therapy, and follow-up sessions may be required to maintain results.
MeRT Treatment Can Also Help With Other Conditions:
- Anxiety
- Learning Disorders
- ADHD
- After-Effects of Stroke
- Parkinson’s Disease
- OCD
- Sleep Disorders
