Your initial consultation at Summit Brain Health will determine if MeRT treatment can benefit you. In order to get the most out of that consultation, you will first undergo comprehensive testing.
Your testing will include a quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG), also called brain mapping.
We simultaneously administer an electrocardiogram (EKG) test to map the electrical activity of your heart and brain-heart coherence.
Using these tests to create a map of the way your brain activity flows, we can see if there is a need to open channels of communication. This tells us if MeRT will work for you.
Dr. Geraci and a team of neuroscientists then review the test results. After this, they can determine the precise, customized treatment protocol for your specific condition.
This unique evaluation is part of why we get such excellent results. We are locating and pinpointing the pathways where your brain needs stimulation to help it communicate.
Once the team reviews your test results and develops your program, you will have a consultation with Dr. Geraci. During your consultation, he will take the time necessary to make sure you fully understand the test results and your upcoming treatment.
First, he will go over the results of your testing with you and answer any questions you may have. He will also go over your medical history and your symptoms. And he will let you know more about what to expect during your treatment.
Once we complete the initial consultation, you will start your treatment period. This normally consists of daily treatment (Monday through Friday) in two-week intervals for approximately six weeks.
You can learn more about the treatment period by visiting our MeRT Overview page.
